weeeeeellllllllllllllll shit. I guess the way they ended the last season wasn't too bad to end the series with, actually. But yeah, i'm a liitle upset :P
After future Hiro convinced everyone to "save the cheerleader" he began to disappear from existence. But, being a hardened hero of a now-lost future, he would not admit defeat. So, he used his powers to travel back in time and insert himself as a brain tumor in geeky-Hiro's brain. In the end, the two Hiro's battle for dominance, only to both be consumed by Sylar.
However, once Sylar consumes the tumor that is Future-Hiro, he becomes possessed by the rough-and-tumble-hero. Future Hiro realizes that this existence is no better than the future he came from, so he travels back in time and kills Clare before Peter and past Hiro can save her.
