Oh honey...is it a valid apology if I do so on behalf of these fucktards? Either way, I'm sorry. I wish that people weren't hateful and close-minded. (But I think, if that were truly possible, we would not be human.) Unfortunately, it looks like we can't appear angry at all about this, cause then the conservatives will point and say "Hey look, we were right! They're a bunch of lawless degenerates out to [insert offensive action here, then exaggerate 10000 times] and generally take over the world." It's REALLY not fair, but thankfully there are still some things we can do.

What really gets under my skin though is that quote you included. One of the arguments that's been repeated ad nauseum in California is that the LGBT community can still get domestic partnerships/civil unions, and while there is still debate on whether or not marriages and unions have the same rights and benefits (I guess people are suddenly ( ... )
