Ramon would argue that it wasn't his to give, not really. It's not really anything to do with him, he thinks. This may be mirrored in the way his eyes don't drop to the baby, they stay on Random's face. Not in a malicious way, or rudeness - it's just that nothing else really figures as important to him in this room. Not yet anyway.
He takes the hand easily and comes close without complaint.

He does kiss him. He also refrains from pointing out that you can't always give in to babies and pick them up or they get used to it and take longer to become independant because not getting involved, not not not. And it doesn't matter anyway, the boy is a newborn and they probably need contact or something.

He stands, moving to the cradle and softly setting the sleeping bundle inside it, fingers tracing the infant's cheek softly.
"Not all that long."
A hand reaches out, a gesture open, it's meant to be taken, to draw Ramon close to him.
"C'mere, lover. Give me a kiss. I'm a father."
