On another note, myself, I find it difficult to write something and to focus on what I'm writing when I have so many distractions, like, of course, the internet. I check my email far too often, keep up with my flist so much it would be considered unhealthy, and other stuff. As much as I want to write and forget about everything else, it's hard. Am I the only one who feels like this? If you do relate to this, how do you solve this problem? And if you don't, why do you think that is?

OMGSH YES! This happens to me allllll the time. I get on thinking I won't check livejournal or anything else, and end up zoning out on Youtube and reading random stranger's livejournals.

Funnily enough, the only way I solve this problem is by complete accident-- when I have internet issues, which happens sadly often, I am forced to ignore the pulls of flist and the like and do the only thing I can. Write or play Solitaire, haha.

That used to happen to me! Internet would crash every few hours, it was so annoying. I have to say, Solitaire is fairly entertaining when there's nothing else to do. Still, you could pull off writing 8,000 words the first day of NaNo! How do you explain that, hm?
