Ich meine, ich bin mir relativ sicher, dass man mich, egal was ich ankreuze, sicher fragen wird, aber ich wills einfach wissen, rein interessehalber. Immerhin wärs nicht gerade verantwortungsbewusst, jemanden Blut mit ein paar milligramm heroin drin zu transfusieren.
Eh, wieso darf mensch(haha!) Eisentabletten nicht während der Peroide nehmen? Ich frag ganz dumm, weil ich keine Ahnung habe.

Eisentabletten darf frau während der Periode nehmen, aber wenn frau diese gerade hat, ist es normal einen niedrigen Eisenwert zu haben und frau muss nicht zur Nachuntersuchen.
Mir hat neulich ne Freundin auch so Eisendinger angedreht, von denen mir dann erst richtig schlecht wurde. Vorher war alles in Butter. Nie wieder Eisentabletten!

Inwiefern ein Aussieben von Risikogruppen die Erfolgsrate (d.h., Anteil von nichtinfiziertem Blut an Gesamtzahl der untersuchten Proben) noch erhöht, kann man nur sagen, wenn man den Reliabilitätskoeffizienten des Tests sowie die relativen Häufigkeiten Infizierter innerhalb der unterschiedlichen Bevölkerungsgruppen weiß. Und weißt du was? Ich glaube fast, eine solche Berechnung hat nicht stattgefunden.
Das ist natürlich nur eine Vermutung.

They ask you if you've ever taken any drugs at all (but people seem to get away with some past recreational drug use), but I think there was some extra needle question somewhere else. It was a little confusing.

No. Because clearly, as a woman, you can't be anything but straight, according to the questionnaire.

My iron content isn't dangerously low, um, or she wouldn't want me to come back, even with iron pills (well, I hope). And I have certainly not stopped menstruating :D That sentence said that I shouldn't come in while menstruating, 'cause that'd mean even lower iron content and even less of a chance of meeting the requirements.

Dieses ganze kommerzielle Blut- und Plasmagewerbe hat was sehr Gruselfilmmäßiges, I agree. Aber der Ort, an dem ich war, zahlt zwischen 20 und 25 Euro, plus Treueprämien etc. Reiner Altruismus hätte mich nicht dahingekriegt.

Vegetarier/Eisenmangel: Oh, bitte nicht immer diese Kausalverbindung ziehen! Mein Arzt macht das zur Genüge - obwohl, eigentlich machen das die meisten Ärzte, bei denen ich bisher war, was meine evtl. vorhandene Hochachtung ihnen gegenüber immer ganz schön runterschraubt (see: diverse Uniklinikumprofessorinnen, die Nudossi gegen Eisenmangel empfehlen).
Naru sagt: Eisen gibt's nicht nur im Fleisch. Und wenn Verzicht auf Fleisch automatisch mit Eisenmangel einhergehen würde, müssten auch die männlichen Vegetarier sehr oft unter Eisenmangel leiden, was sie afaik nicht tun. Meistens sind's die Frauen und davon auch nicht nur die Vegetarierinnen, was die Kausalverbindung Menstruation->Blutverlust->möglicher Eisenmangel nachvollziehbarer macht.
Und: Real Food? Aber ja doch! (Naru: fleißige Verfechterin gesunder Ernährung)

Ja, die Kausalverbindung find ich als militante Hülsenfrüchteesserin auch nicht gut. Habe mir gerade eben Linsensuppe reingepfiffen.
