Just for the record I wouldn't trust any forshadowing in Game of Thrones. The books were initially fun but the story eventually went off the rails. Plot thread do not connect back, get abandoned. I would not trust the series to have a plan at all.

When have I ever let meandering story-telling, un-fulfilled forshadowing and lack of continuity get in the way of my theorizing? Dude, up until the Smallville finale I still had my fingers crossed for Chlois...
