the dean of students at my university threatened to expel me for "misquoting" her; luckily I'd made several copies of the tape of our interview by that point...
Wow, that sounds really scary. I'm sorry you had to deal with that with the DEAN for Pete's sake lies!
I think mostly I'm a Chlarker/Chloiser. I love Smallville that most when Clark and Chloe are working together and trusting on another. That seemed to mostly happen when Chloe was still in journalism. I do miss it.
You know, I feel bad because I just realized it wasn't the Dean of Students, who was terrific. I just felt the need to make that correction. The funny thing was, I never knew what exactly I'd written that had made her mad, because she never specified -- but at the time, after I got over my first panic, I was all "wooo-hooo! truth to power!"
I love Smallville that most when Clark and Chloe are working together and trusting on another.
I loved the team they made. I wasn't a Lois Lane fan prior to this show but I loved the Chlois-y idea that they'd grown into who they would be together. Minus that teamwork I still love Chloe, but I'm looking forward to the day when the showrunners won't be able to mess with her anymore.
I'll always wish for Chlois and secretly believe it was played up over the years. The show has changed, obviously, and I see it as some other show now. But AM kept me loving Chloe even when I hated what they did to her. So I'll watch her last eps and always consider her the unsung hero of this show.
I'll ... always consider her the unsung hero of this show.
Exactly.
You know, I've hated what was done to and with certain characters on other series (Kara on BSG, Kate on Lost), but on those shows I was able to forgive much more easily because I thought could see where/how those developments fit into the show-runners' vision. The problem with SV is that I don't think PSW have a creative vision, and that has made me increasingly ambivalent about watching her final episodes. I almost wish they'd left her disappearance a blank; that way we wouldn't have to deal with whatever rubbishy anti-climax I'm worried they've created for her.
It's so very, very wonderful. If my husband hadn't forced me to go to a class and a movie with him today I think I would have been hunched over it all weekend.
And yeah, I just went ahead and cheated with Chloe. It was easier to decide she's immortal (thank you, Dean Cain episode of Smallville), so that I can indulge in multi-shipping her. :-)
I don't believe in having my cake and then not being able to eat it. *stomps foot*
And there are so many flavors of cake too. I think of Chlex as a hazelnut torte and Chlark as a lemon-polenta poundcake spread with a berry jam and Chlollie is of course dark-chocolate jalapeno brownies. I'm not sure what Chruce would be.... maybe an orange genoa cake with a chocolate ganache? Chlean would be a pie, of course. Not apple though. Strawberry-rhubarb, maybe?
Darn you! Now I'm going to have to spend my Sunday afternoon making cake and pie! Uh.... wait a second. That means that at the end of today I will be surrounded by... cake and pie.
I hope! However, I still haven't seen Collateral or Beacon (WHAT HAVE I BEEN DOING?!?) and I feel duty-bound to do so before finishing what I've started with alt-Ollie.

Ditto to that. And at the moment, Ollie seems to be doing the best job there!
Welcome back! Does that mean we'll get faster updates from you ;)
