I think it's unique, though similar festivals have been tried elsewhere.

As to JB. I don't know, I'm just reading between the lines. It's an educated guess. If he is, I doubt he would shout about it, as it would likely (and unfortunately) reduce the numbers coming to hear him from the very sectors of the church that need to hear him most.
