Ooh! This was creepy and complex and really touching.

Spike sank his fangs into her neck and drank. It was perfect. He was accessing her love. He was accessing her.
::shivers:: So vivid and eerie! Very well done. I love all the details you out into Spike's dream and the pull between his demon and his nature. Really lovely examination.

Aww, I really love all the bits with Xander. Very realistic character voices. I adored this, thanks so much for submitting! *g*

Thanks for your lovely comments! This was creepy and complex and really touching. Yay! I'm pleased that you think so!

I'm very happy that you liked the exploration of Spike's ambiguity. I'm fascinated by Spike at this time because he's doing good things and helping, but he's not actually good without a soul. I imagine it must have been very confusing for him.

I admit to loving the bits with Xander too because I enjoy the dynamics between his and Spike so much. I'm glad that you think the voices are realistic!!

Wonderful insight into Spike, his persistent guilt, his fantasies of saving and killing Buffy, his drowning his loss and shame in violence. Beautifully done.

Thanks for your lovely comments! I'm very happy that you think it's a wonderful insight into Spike! I love the ambiguity of Spike, and he's particularly fascinating at this period of time, so I enjoyed delving into the character. I'm glad that you noted the saving and killing Buffy because I think those fantasies are linked for Spike. Thanks! :)

A very interesting take on a grieving Spike. Dreaming of saving her, then killing her himself, then the waking to the reality of the nightmare. I also enjoyed the interaction between Xander and Spike --- a not so friendly cease-fire, so to speak. I always thought that those two, given a chance, would have made interesting friends in that, I hate you, but appreciate Buffy's need for you, kind of way.

Thanks for your lovely comments! :) I'm pleased that you like the examination of grieving Spike.

I'm very happy that you enjoyed the Xander and Spike interaction. I love those two together, and agree with you about the "I hate you but grudging appreciated you" friendship.
