Taken from iamfiction.

We all have things about our friends that make us slightly envious.
Not in a bad way, but in a "Wow! I wish I had that person's hair/eyes/money/relationship/toenails/whatever."

So tell me what about me makes you envy me. . . then post this in your LJ and see what makes me envious of you.

Oddly enough the best description for how to give constructive criticism I've seen was in a book on Bhuddism. I think it was called The Places that Scare You. It was talking about how to improve as people we need to criticise our selves, but we first need to have an understanding of how we are basically good and deserving of good things. Without that understanding criticism will only depress us. With that understanding we can see that it's only the action that's being criticised not the person. I've found when offering critiques it's important to have that same type of feeling for the person being critiqued. I think there's some rule of thumb floating around that says point out one bad thing and three good things, and that can help, but if you have the genuine feeling that the person being critiqued is a good artist then it'll just naturally come across.

The funny thing is I can't do actual 3-D stuff. My attempts with clay usually fail.

I think description is more powerful then depiction. When I watch a violent movie it usually doesn't effect me, but if I read a violent book I feel like an accomplice. I have a deep awe and respect for writers because the work they create is participatory. I think that's why I'm more interested in making Games then anything else.

I probably won't post this in my LJ, so I'm ruining this chainy mcthing, but anyways:

I envy two things: (one) you are very beautiful! You look much like an elf, or at least how I think an elf would look, but without pointy ears. I love your nose. It is super cute.

(two) how you can be nice, no matter what, to anyone. How you have never held a grudge, really, and you never gossiped in middle school. What can I say, you are probably the only person to ever start and finish middle school without ever being a bitch. You probably deserve a medal, or something.

They are in order of predictability, or rather, I imagine you would know that I envy you for (two), but you probably didn't know for (one). So there, I caught you off guard! HAH!

Well, I'm thwarting your ruining of the chainy mcthing by telling you what I'm envious of you here! so ha! :-P

I'm envious of your courage. Not only have you gone to far away places that may or may not speak foreign languages by yourself, but you seem to relish going to those nifty places. Not only were you brave enough to get engaged, but you were also able to break it off when it became apparent that the marriage wouldn't go well.

You're right about catching me off guard! I had no idea I have a cute nose, or that I remind you of an elf. ^_^
