I didn't think I read as many as I did from this list. XD I still think it's a travesty that Amy Tan's not on here because she's really an amazing writer.
To be perfectly honest, I kind of hated it. Then ending was beyond strange and, sadly, the overall book made me wonder how close America was to getting some of the damn telescreens installed in every home even though it took place in a renamed UK. :| On the upside, you'll finally get the meaning of "Big Brother is watching" and every related joke. Sorry if I sound indecisive on it, but I know everyone's got different tastes and most memory I have on it is a vague overview with scattered details since I read it... just over a year ago.
DD: The only other person I know who's read it loves it to bits, so I'm kinda like >_> I'm not too sure what to expect, other than I know I've read another book by the same author and hated it, so. I guess we shall see!
XD It can't have been an amazing book, if you don't remember much about it...hehe
That's what I mean. Everyone's got different taste in literature so this will be a wait and see situation. Go into it with an open mind and form your own opinion.
Like I said, over a year ago and I only read it once. And the case with most books I read, I'll probably remember only a basic plotline if I wasn't all too attached to it. Otherwise I read it over and over and over again if I'm bored.
