(The story was AMAZING btw. I absolutely adored the way you write Ianto; his inner turmoil was well played, and Jack's despair wasn't in any way cheap or cliche. GREAT job.)

I'm so glad you liked it, I am always worried about characterization, especially such complex characters as these. I'm always afraid I'm making the angst too soap opera or cheap and I'm so glad you didn't see it that way!

On another note - this story was amazing, I absolutely loved it, and could believe this happening in the show. The characters were all fantastic and very in character.

And to say that you think this could happen in the show is still making my day, over a week later! As I have said, I think, in reply to all your comments, I struggle with characterization and am always afraid they're off. Wonderful story and very gutsy ending. It reminds me of a story we had to read in High School about a guy who had to choose a door to go through. One door had a lion behind it and the other a lady. I know what I would pick as I'm a hopeless romantic, but it was very well written.
