Title: A blip in time: Ianto Jones
Characters/Pairings: Jack/Ianto
Summary: Ianto watches Jack sleep. Kind of angsty. No spoilers, but relates to "The Dead Line"
Rating: High PG, borderline PG-13? I always rate high, though.

Oh the angst, at least he's offering Jack some comfort. I'm not surprised Jack is still having nightmares about the toclafane. The Master was a real bastard.

That was so beautiful and sad. There is so much focus on the pain Jack must feel knowing his lovers will leave him one day, and I always think that the pain is equal for the lover. To know your death is coming sooner rather than later must be terrifying in itself, but to know that he'll never be the love of Jack's life, that he'll be just a name whispered in a nightmare one day, must be devastating for Ianto. Everyone deserves to have been 'the one' for someone else, and this was a wonderfully written peek into how it feels to know you never will be.

Exactly, that's why I wanted to write this fic. I feel like in the show and such Ianto's more worried about how it will effect Jack than himself but I have to believe that it's hurt him as well.

so sad, I love your viewpoint that the best to hope for is to become one of Jack's nightmares, That is if he is important enough to be remembered that is what he will become, so very Torchwood.
