I really, really enjoyed this.
You portrayed the little pieces of their relationship perfectly: especially Morgan getting upset about the grandbabies thing, and the hovering.
Cause I can so see him hovering around poor cripple!Reid. = w =
I especially liked the part concerning Gideon's letter.
The gun bit made me worry, just a little. Poor diddums. D:
Your writing is really good, and it definitely made my (so far not very long) day.
I promise I'll "aww" randomly a few times in my classes, though.

The only problem I had with it was that Profiler, Profiled comes before The Big Game / Revelations, so Reid wouldn't have his drug habit at that point.
But I'm sure if you put a notice up that you're bending canon, you should be fine. n__n

SO. TRUE. Beautifully described, and so real.

Seeing Reid in the hospital had snapped something inside the older agent. Maybe it was too soon since the Anthrax scare, but whatever the reason from the moment Spencer had been released Derek barely left the genus' side.
Awwwww, yes, please. Great point. I would actually love to read a whole fic about this.

the conversation on the rooftop before Spencer went to interview Rachel.
Mmmh, what am I missing here? At first I thought this was the scene in the Adam/Amanda episode, but I can't for the sake of me remember who's Rachel..

And yeah, I'm a total moron. I've only seen the Adam/Amanda episode once and I had it in my head while writing that her name was Rachel. I intend on fixing that straight away. *facepalm*

When/If I have the time, I will totally write a fic about that section from the season five premiere. :D
