Oh, my: I am trying to picture Caspian saying 'une femme tres belle' with his spanish accent, and that makes my heart melt. The French really do have the best language...

A man speaking French with a Spanish (and sometimes slightly Italian) would make anyone swoon lol. I love French, it's just so romantic.

So, I may be the only woman on the planet who actually doesn't like French *ducks flying vegetables* but this was so great. I just want to get Caspian a great big hug.

And, since I'm obviously not a French nerd, what exactly did the ending mean? Going with my knowledge of Spanish and cognates, I got "A beautiful white flower for a very beautiful woman." Of course, I don't know what tres means, so I could be completely off, lol.

French isn't for everyone, but you translated it right! I meant to put subtitles at the end of the fic, but my internet connection cut of right before I hit the submit button to make the changes.

This was truly beautiful, and really original... Professor Cornellius must have been one hell of a resourceful man, I mean where else would Caspian learn to speak French?

I figure the professor had to know a lot in order to hid his dwarf ancestrey and to have all that info on Old Narnia, so who's to say he doesn't know French?
