Just an update I am working on getting all the feedback out to you today.

The other thing is a poll ---- I wondered, for members of the different network comms --- do you think it might be beneficial if they were all combined into one "TV Show" comm like the movies and books comms are --- but general for TV Shows excluding the fandoms that have

You mean like Glee having its own comm? I'd be more apt to seeing a House M.D. comm since I don't watch a lot of TV and don't know a lot of the shows on that network, thus making the voting process kind of tedious when I have NO clue about the characters or canon etc. You could always do half as many challenges per round as well. But that's just something that popped into my head at the last second hehe.

No, no, it would be like a GENERAL TV Show comm for ALL TV shows excluding those that have their own comm already like Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, etc.

The thing is, some of the network comms already have half as many challenges in round than other ones, so say, some might only have 4 challenges, or 5 or 6 where others have like 10-13. Plus, the next round we sometimes only get enough sign-ups for 4 challenges --- its a vast difference and not quite as fair....

Ahhh okay. I get what you're saying. So General TV_LAS (for example) means I could write a fic for ANY tv show I wanted (excluding ones that already have their own) rather than place it in a category like FOX, NBC etc.

Yes, exactly. :)

For example, some of the network comms (5) are going to be awhile before round 2 can start because they have under 10 sign-ups, let alone 20+ (25-50% of the members default out in MOST comms that have 30 or less members within the first 3 challenges) so there needs to be more than less.

Even though I'm not a member of these particular comms, I'm wondering if it might not make it more cohesive to have a few, depending on category:

So, you'd have ...
Las_Drama
or Las_Crime
or Las_Comedy
or Las_Future/SciFi
etc., etc.

That way there would be a common thematic element among the shows, even if you have a whole bunch of shows in one comm. I think it's also more likely that people voting may be more familiar with more than one show if they're grouped by category.

That suggestion has merit.

Though it might be hard to divide them up.

It might just end up being instead of like 8 network comms where half don't get enough members and then instead have 8 genre comms for TV and just another half don't :(

/sigh .... it's a good idea but I'm not sure it wouldn't end up being the same way just different names :(
