[But little did the unsuspecting journalist know that Drake had actually woken up today.

At some point when she was gone- out where he wasn't exactly sure, he had woken up and wandered the place in a confused state. It had taken him a while to recall where the hell he was, what day it was, how long he had been out- that last one being the real shocker.

Over a month he had been in a sleep coma.

He was familiar with them because of Elena and a couple of his other friends had fallen into them. But for this long? And of course he spent his time going through his phone- checking updates to what he had missed, anything he could find, really. He didn't get very far, but he could always get details from Elena ( ... )

( when no answer to any of her words aimed at him came, Elena sighed again. she was doing that a lot. it was awkward for the woman, most of the time she would be living with a boatload of noise - at least for the most part she would be talking with Nate, or someone else via her ‘phone’ - and while it had been nice to get out that one night that she went to visit Naomi, she was starting to get lonely. apparently enough so that she was even taking to speaking with Flynn; on friendly terms at that. )

It’s really quiet here without you. I’m even starting to miss your stupid jokes.

( glancing over him, she leaned forward just slightly to fix the pillow beneath his head slightly )

Come on, Nate… it’s been over a month…

( pushing her hands through her hair, she sighed )

[Miss his stupid jokes? Oh. Well all the more reason to maintain that straight, sleeping face of his. And it was taking a lot of willpower to ignore the sad tone in her voice. At the very least it was helping to not make him smile and blow his cover--

Not that it was good that she was feeling lonely, either.

He would make it up to her after his stupid joke. Really make it up to her. Especially after he nearly lost her...]

( for a while, she just stared at the man before her. she was tapping her fingers against her knee, trying to think of something to talk to him about. at the moment, there wasn’t really much to say. heaving a sigh, she let a soft grunt pass her lips as she hoisted herself up from the coffee table’s edge and brushed her hands along her pants gently )

So… like I was telling you before, about that statue and the swinging knives- ( not that the man could really hear her, but, Elena felt better when she talked to him. it made things almost seem normal for her. almost ) It started attacking, was a huge mess. It was using those knives I mentioned and some sort of energy against people… Anyway one of the knives hit the mountain and cracked it ( ... )
