Daniel smelled like the Time Zoo. He spent most of the time on the sixth floor, playing with the hedgehog and taking notes on all the various fauna. He hadn't seen some of the creatures before! It was...it was pretty cool.
He was still scribbling in his notebook when he got to level three. Oh yeah, this was the weird flood floor. Well...he wasn't a woman and he wasn't five. All he knew was that he saw a man walking towards him.
He didn't know who this guy was. Though, Daniel reflected, how could he not know! Nobody on the barge had such a great taste in style or hair as beautifully black as his was. Daniel resisted the urge to blush, coughing slightly instead.
"Hey," he said, looking at the man. "Who are you?"
"Hey, you okay?" Tony asked, seeing an uneasy looking Ichabod holding a gun.
Ichabod didn't look like he'd been effected by anything either, but having seen Elle as a man and Peter as a woman, he knew the strangeness of the floor was continuing. Had the Master simply chosen to bestow upon them a sort of kindness? Tony found this unlikely and suspected that, like the last time he felt no change, an unpleasant surprise would turn up just around the bend.
He noticed the other man as well, but he didn't seem as troubled.
Ichabod heard the footsteps and waited cautiously to see who it would be. Hopefully someone normal. And... it was. Well, 'normal' by Barge standards, but he was fortunate there seemed two people unaffected. He relaxed his posture, but only a little.
"I'm alright, but it helps to be on my guard, with the strangeness going on," he replied to Tony as he put his gun away. "How about you?"
"Constable Ichabod Crane," he replied easily to Daniel. The man's slightly strange behavior went unnoticed since this was the first time Ichabod had seen him. "Well, not so much a Constable anymore, but the title is nice." He offered his hand. "And you, sir? I'm afraid we have not yet met."
Spotting Tony, Daniel offered a short nod before turning back to Ichabod.
Constable Ichabod Crane...wow. That was a great name. Daniel smiled at Ichabod and shook his hand, paying no attention to the scars. He was staring at Ichabod's eyes the whole time. "I'm Dr. Daniel Jackson. Pleasure to meet you."
Why no, he wasn't using his full title to show off.
