[Now why would someone leave him a slingshot and a bag of marbles? Anders held the toys with a faint reminiscence, lingering at the doorway to his room]

"Have you seen a big blue box of Legos?" The young girl has long, curly brown hair and a very inquisitive look.

Anders looks up at the sound of a voice, not only unfamiliar but young as well. He peers at her for a moment, moving to place his own toys at the nightstand.

"I'm afraid I haven't," and then, tentatively "what are you doing here? This really isn't a place for children."

She gives one of those shrugs that young children are so good at - saying that she has no idea, and it's so far beyond her that she's not even trying to work it out.

"It was my Christmas present, but I lost it. I wanted to build a castle."

[Lunch time, and for once Anders was in the cafeteria when food was available! So many children running about could be exhausting for any adult; time to refuel with some food!]

[A kid in white tattered robes and carrying a brown leather bound book he'd found in the room he had been in before got in line in the cafeteria, which seemed normal enough until he saw what was being served. His eyes went wide in surprise.]

They never served so many kinds of food in cafeterias where I'm from!

[Surprise surprise, yet another child! But the robes are enough to catch his interest; it's usually the apparel of magical types, after all. That book, too... leather-bound, and therefore interesting]

The spread isn't terrible, I must admit. At least someone behind the counter knows how to cook.

At school they usually just cook boiled cabbage. [Despite the enthusiastic acclaim for the food, Raistlin put relatively little food on his plate and poured himself a glass of milk before turning around to decide where to sit.]

[The library had to be quiet, right? Even children understood that!]

[Richie certainly does! ...For now, at least; he's camped out in an unobtrusive corner (literally; he's abandoned the comfort of the squishy chairs for using them as cover to hide his position in the corner somewhat) with a stack of comics he found in the room he woke up in, methodically making his way through them even though they're further along in the storylines than he remembers. Like...a lot further along. Some of the titles he doesn't even recognize at all.]

[And here is another one. At least this one knows how to be quiet... and look, comic books! Those are more brightly colored than the boring tomes Anders can recall]

Enjoying the peace and quiet? [Friendly Anders is friendly]

[He glances up, blankly at first, half expecting one of the kids from school or something, or Seth, but it isn't. A moment's hesitation and the lightbulb clicks; it's the guy from the phone thing. He offers a tight smile in greeting.]

Yeah, I guess. [A pause, and then, quickly:] I found these. I didn't steal 'em or anything.

[He's got a slight lisp; the bit does that, and for once he actually put it in himself without having to be reminded.]

[Perhaps a little star-gazing on the deck would help relax him after a busy day]
