David wasn't in.
So Alex did what he was best at and began searching the Barge. He didn't know David too well and was unable to pinpoint the spots he may have been, but the good news was that David was on the ship. That much he did know. Scouting the area hadn't taken too much time, then again, time wasn't that much of a concern -what else was Alex going to do- and sure enough, he found the kid in the gym.
Alex quietly steps through the door as he watches David aggressively attack the punching bag. He remains silent, letting the kid continue and waits. It's okay David, take your time, you look like you need it.

A little.
There's still something about this guy, this Alex Mercer, that makes him think he's someone to know. No one else he knows has come back after leaving the Barge. He's not sure what it means yet, just that it means he's worth his attention. For the time being, he mops his forehead with one sweaty palm and steps forward, jamming his hands in his pockets.
"Long time no see," he comments, nodding to the punching bag - none the worse for wear for all the fury he expended laying into it. "You weren't waiting on me, were you? You can have a go if you want."

He approaches closer, but shakes his head no. Alex didn't want a go at the punching bag, nor was he waiting on David -well, minded anyway. "Ran into someone," Alex says remembering that he just about ran into the guy, "tall, bald, wears goggles. He didn't tell me his name, but he's also looking for the Admiral."
The man could prove to be a worthy advisory on their quest, but he'd leave it up to the kid to make that decision. David seemed better at making friends. Granted, if this individual turned out to be a threat, Alex would make sure to get rid of him.

He hasn't worked with Alex as much as he has Hoffman and Slick.. but then, maybe that's not such a bad thing. It means he might be more effective than they were. Certainly he carries himself in the manner of someone who can fight, which already puts him ahead of the curve. He folds his arms, remaining where he is.
"What's your take on him?" David asks, watching the older man intently. "You think he's serious about this?"
