Tonks jumped out of her seat as Loki arrived, looking pained only long enough to pop the pink back into her hair. She was more sensitive to sadness and loneliness lately and seeing anyone show up would have made her day, but Loki was an especially pleasant sight.

He looked entirely different than the last time they had met, when they had played with his kitten and talked, but she could still tell it was him. Tonks wrapped her arms around him in a firm hug, though pulling back quickly to try to avoid being too awkward.

"'Ello! Thanks for coming, Loki!" Pulling herself back with her hands on her shoulders, at arm's length, she looked over his hair. "It's not bad. Reminds me of someone I didn't much like, but otherwise not horrible. You do look better normally though."

The next through the door was a woman in long, curly dark hair, corset and an expression so serious, it bordered on the paranoid. Quite whether or not Anna would usually look like that was inconsequential, right now: It was how Aleera felt and, as time slowly went on, she was unknowingly beginning to take on a gathering amount of her former arch-enemy's persona.

In this case, a lot more cautiousness than her usually brash and predatory self would exhibit.

Glancing carefully around the room 'Aleeranna' made for the nearest table, rather than seat and leant up against it.

'Piqard', too, did not exactly look pleased to find his cosmically-altered self obligated to show up for the barge's equivalent of an AA meeting. Nevertheless, he had agreed in the interests of it potentially being of some benefit.

Whether or not it would be, was open to question.

"Right, then," voiced Q, albeit mostly to himself and crossed arms.

[responded above, to group; this will be easier when broken down into smaller groups]

Group 1: Tonks - Loki, Major West, Prefect bythe_books January 6 2009, 03:48:06 UTC

West wasn't happy at all about being placed in a separate group from Billy. When he'd agreed to do this, he'd been under the impression that he and his friend would be in the same group, that he wouldn't have to do this alone. And then, to make matters worse, he was stuck sitting with Loki-- who he kept on trying not to look at-- and Prefect, who was some strange woman for the day. Filled with teenage petulance and gloom, he slouched back in his seat and said nothing, waiting to just get this over with.

Tonks shuffled her group around the area at which they had started, giving them a little space from the other groups. She had tried to separate wardens from their inmates and friends and similar personalities all for the sake of forcing people to adapt, but she wasn't certain how well it would work. If it didn't, though, she could easily play musical groups later ( ... )

It wasn't that Prefect needed Sam in his group, because obviously he didn't, he could quite competently refuse to say anything purely from his own ability to be difficult even in the best of situations. He didn't even really like his Warden that much. However, none of this stopped him from staring across the room at his wardens retreating figure with a look which clearly said, "Why are you leaving me? DON'T YOU KNOW YOU'RE MEANT TO STAY HERE AND PROTECT ME FROM THESE PEOPLE?"

Apparently Sam did not. So Prefect decided that while he was totally kind of going to listen to what was going on, he would have to simultaneously sustain his expression of wounded abandonment in case Sam looked over.

Just so the Warden knew he'd done wrong.

Group 2: Sam Tyler (& Morgan) - Aleera, Wilmot, Dr. Horrible bythe_books January 6 2009, 03:49:05 UTC

Sam was a little worried about leaving Prefect with another group-- after all, he wasn't sure if the others were aware of his agreement with his Inmate, wherein Prefect wouldn't have to speak if he didn't want to. Could throw a wrench into things, but far as he figured, it was the only way he could get his robotic unique Inmate to at least try this out ( ... )

John wasn't quite expecting to separate, as demonstrated by the look that was offered to Ichabod before he drew himself up and walked as regally as possible to his assigned area. At least he was not the only man who had become a woman ( ... )

Dr Horrible took a moment to give Rochester a slightly disgusted look, "In that case, I'm kinda glad we didn't get to choose for ourselves, and for your information? When I first woke up as a woman? I was more concerned with the ticking of my biological clock than with why it had happened."

That sounded a bit weird actually, so he added, "I don't mean... not this time, this time I'm doing okay, but last time we had a flood that involved changing genders."

Ichabod knew even less about group therapy than Sam did. He knew the basic idea, but not the procedure. If he had known they were to be separated like this, he would've studied a bit. Alas.

He stood, tapped his fingers nervously on the back of his chair, then cleared his throat.

"Well. I think it best we adjourn to our own table, shall we?" Before moving away from the 'main' area of chairs, he glanced to John and offered an encouraging smile. It truly pleased him that the man had shown at all.

Once the seating arrangements were settled, he spoke again.

"To open our discussion, I'd like to inquire about why do you personally think you have changed thus? By that I mean, why these people in particular?"

"As I said before, I am not certain, for this form is unfamiliar to me."

After a moment, he thought about, thought of this strange feeling that had risen in him, and decided to express it.

"Yet since gaining this form, I seem to feel a strange...almost...annoyance with myself for reasons unexplainable to me."

The Marquis leaned back a little in his chair, some of his old self emerging. By now he was at least somewhat aware that not only did he wear Renee's skin, but that even she seemed to 'emerge' from him sometimes. He did not know what to think of it, but he knew he did not like the idea of two people occupying the same body, one being allowed to exist while the other had to wait to come out.

"I am not certain why I became my wife," he admitted. "Floods are always random."
