late, late night at the cafeteria. open! to_be_caprican December 4 2011, 01:12:48 UTC
With his communicator-- roughly-- in working order, Gaius is typing in a message, that generally frazzled look he sometimes has evident in his own sleeplessness, like someone who just arose from a bad dream.

"I'm aware of that," he's murmuring, putting the device away again. "But don't mind me if I just need a break, now and then, from your constant frakking--"

Hrk.

His head snaps back as if pulled by something invisible, casually distributing him off his seat which goes skittering out from beneath him, and he lands with an almighty crash on the cafeteria floor. There's a shocked and rather annoyed sound of injured pride over body, letting out a shaky breath as he starts, slowly, to get all his limbs in order to get back up.

And an empty cafeteria in the middle of the night when they should both be asleep is more than ideal a setting. Which isn't even sarcasm. It is as good as any.

"It was during October. I told you a bit about them, except I don't think they were really that. Dreams. They were just in my cabin and I assumed..." Gaius tips his head ruefully, and leaves that sentence there. "Then it wasn't just my cabin. She walks down the hallways with me, talks to me over other people. It isn't always bad, you know, which is why I didn't say anything."

As well as his propensity towards being secretive, but who's counting?

"To be honest it was nice sometimes. But I suppose it being nice doesn't count for much when it's a frakking hallucination of a Cylon spy. If it is a hallucination, it might not be. Haven't asked McCy if he's got any scanning equipment, yet." And Gaius stops, there, before he can go into a full tilt ramble of all the possibities and justifications he's considered.

"Then," Sarah said softly, listening to him, hearing him, "we need to book a visit with Doctor McCoy and see if he can sort this out. It's good to have answers, Gaius. So. We'll see if we can find you some. Sound good?"

She tiled her head slightly, eying him.

"I'll come with if you want." Moral support, cussing, whatever he needs. Sometimes it's better to have company you know is real.
