Will had been pretty incapacitated by the escalating events. Barely sleeping, tense and jumpy and nervous almost constantly, he'd barely even realized how bad things were getting until whoever was running the show decided to formally announce that things would be getting more interesting. People were trapped. People were being attacked. Inmates were being roped into his schemes, and Will was unable to do anything about it, trapped in his own room and surrounded by the crew members ( ... )

"Yeah, it's me."

David looks a little ruffled, like he was in some kind of scuffle, but otherwise unharmed. He's wearing the slightly incredulous expression of a person who can't quite believe what they're doing, and he's packing heat. Dick took the gun he'd taken from Bourne's room and Slick's knife, but he'd made a pit stop and lifted two 9mm handguns from Miss Parker's room. And a big blaster he's got strapped to his back.

He'll apologize later. If there is a later.

"You alright?" A simple glance at Will's condition, and the bodies on the floor around him, is enough to answer that question. He feels a sudden surge of guilt at just assuming Will would be safe here in his room. Maybe Dick was right to worry about Tim. Maybe he was right about everything.

"Fine." He doesn't even bother trying to make the lie convincing. There's blood on his jeans and oozing out of a bite mark on his left forearm, and he feels like he's going to throw up, but he's alive, and that's really good enough for right now.

He glances over at his inmate again, brow furrowed.

"Are you?"

"I'm in better shape than you." He's equally blunt. Yeah, he's not feeling too great right now but the worst he had to deal with was a little manhandling from Dick. Fighting off four or five of these faceless monsters? The warden had that pretty well beat.

"Come on, get your cat and let's go." He nods with his chin to the pendant he's wearing. "Stick close to me and none of these things'll attack you."
