Paris is a teeming cesspool of Muggleness but at least it makes a fuss of being an attractive one. As advised, Lucius is dressed in the name of discretion - entirely in black - with a coat of less flowy-ness than his usual affair, his cane in hand and a wary, kick-coyote demeanor who can't help its own curiousity.

Raistlin was also dressed to blend in, wearing a black hooded coat, with the hood pulled up, sunglasses, gloves, and black jeans. He was skulking around through the shadows, looking like he definitely didn't belong.

The street is an interesting thing to navigate. Lucius, formerly, lived in the country, and of course his exploits took him to cities - but obscure, hidden corners rather than this bustling metropolis. Out on his own for the time being, Lucius crossed a busy strip of street - waiting until a gap presented itself, of course, but still awkwardly reckless without meaning to be so.

Up on the pavement, he cast a resentful glance back at the cars, settling cane against the ground and checking his communicator device. Ignoring, also, tourists and natives alike moving passed him.

The glance that Raistlin earns his way was both doubled and narrowed, but far be it for Lucius to interrupt.

He looked at the man, and vaguely recognized the face from the Barge, although he wasn't certain, and if he had seen him, it was only in passing.

"You." he rasped. "You look familiar."

If this place insisted on presenting itself as a metropolis of buying things, then Lucius was determined to beg some cash off his Warden and do so. This include jewelry and perfume, actually, and no, it isn't for him. This comes after visiting a certain historical site and paying what respects he has, and continues on into the evening.

Spying his Inmate observing a particular ensemble on display within some exorbitant name brand store or another, the Marquis approached at his shoulder, looking bemused. "With the vest in red, that would certainly suit you."

A twitched glance over his shoulder was more instinctive acknowledgement, having not heard approach, before Lucius settled his attention back on the clothing, the sleek angles and fitted cuts. There aren't any robe tailors that he had seen thus far, but. Quite expected. His chin lifted.

"I'd have to defer. It isn't entirely what I'm used to."

He came to stand next to him, hands joined behind his back as he carried on conversationally, "While I suppose I can see the attraction to flowing robes, the curves they create, not especially unlike the dramatic sweep of a cape, there is most certainly something to be gained in a style of clothing that is made to more strongly...appreciate what one's own body has to offer. Without being vulgar, naturally. The fashion compliments the form and not the other way around."

sunday. sight seeing and attempted alone time. truemask October 23 2011, 06:20:18 UTC
Taking Renate out seemed like a good idea, a constructive excuse to be alone with his own thoughts for all that Lucius didn't imagine Marquis would deny him that or anything - he'd just rather not seem to need it. Being an owner of dogs and not particularly neglectful, it meant that the excursion isn't a complete disaster. She is leashed correctly as he moves to a stop at a railing that lines along this section of the River Seine, in some location in the sprawling city.

We'll see how long the peace lasts.

[This is absolutely not white-haired zombie in medieval armor carrying a bedsheet-sack with a lump in it about the size of a human corpse over his shoulder.

Nope.

A detail Arthas has forgotten, though: Renate absolutely will recognize him.]

[ Isn't it? Because it looks like it might be.

Renate seems to think so, twisting a look around and immediately springing to all four paws at the unusual sight on Parisian pathway, anxious body language on the end of a leash suddenly drawn taut. Lucius snaps out of his own reverie to look down at the animal with irritated bewilderment, and then up at what's got her ruled.

And glacial pale eyes widen, some. Unexpected. Renate's barks crack through the peace of the place, inspiring Lucius to readjust the grip on the hilt handle of his cane and tighten his handle of the leash. ]

[Arthas' head snaps over - dogs. Of course dogs are a problem, they can pick out the undead for miles. And he knows that one, too. Awful horrible luck. Or... it would be, if that was the Marquis holding the leash, as-is...

He pulls his lips back in a skeletal grin. Nice haircut.]
