Early Evening--Hallways

Arkady bounced along, pushing a battered tea-cart with four pots of tea and several mismatched cups on it. "Tea Fairy! Pineapple mint sweet or plain!"

This introduced two entirely new words to Iroh's vocabulary, but he had long since learnt to just roll with it. "Thank you." He gestured to the coloured pots. "And please - my name is Iroh," he added. "I do try not to be a 'sir', when I can avoid it." She had an odd aura of sound about her, not unpleasantly so; he could hear the beat of some music he didn't recognise in the back of his mind.

"Hullo Iroh! Then you shall be Iroh and not sir. Find it impersonal myself but some like that at first." She poured a cupful of the stronger brew for him. "I'll likely be doing this with herb-teas a lot, depending on what is growing well out in the gardens. It can't fix everything, but I think it's nice to have. Like the water-cart back home."

"I can only regret that I did not think of it myself." He accepted the cup with a bow of his head, taking in the scent. "May I walk with you a while?"

"Of course! And it took the pineapple mint trying to take over before anyone thought of it. It's a late summer thing; all the mints go mad. Kirk told me." She walks along beside him, pushing the battered cart.

"I come from flooded London. Whitechapel is an island there. There is a village there, a few hundred people. We look after them. I don't imagine this will be much different, except here I need not hide my powers."

Ah - London, at least, he'd heard of.

"Your powers. You have..." He obviously couldn't think of the word that most people used and smiled self-deprecatingly. "A gifted mind?"

"All the FreakAngels do. Each one of us has a specialty besides the basic package, like healing people, or inventing things, or weather-changing. I am the seeress, and I teleport."
