WHO: Aleera/Lua.
WHERE: Library.
WHAT: Scary warden versus tiny inmate... Who will win?

"LuaThe flame-haired vampiress might have graduated, but certain traits never left her. Namely, the predatory ones, like the way she could appear when and where least expected, speaking someone's name like she was describing in precise detail how best she would ( Read more... )

A few months ago (if it had happened), Lua'd gone to the pictures. Ladd had wanted to go see Dracula, and she'd pretended to hide in his coat when the vampire drank the girl's blood, and she'd had fun, if it had been a little scary until the lights went up in the theater and the show was over.

But while she knew vampires weren't a real thing, the accent was enough to remind her, and that pull Aleera had, like she was trying to uncoil every part of her, made it worse. She had to do whatever she said if she was going to get out of this place, and she could make her want to do it, no matter what.

And that scared her the most. Her eyes were everywhere except on her face, hoping to glimpse someone else watching the situation, and she laid her hands flat in her lap to keep them from twitching. She needed to look like this was what she wanted. "What did you need?"

More than likely, a part of Aleera was trying to do precisely that. A very important part, indeed. Lua's naturally submissive impulses would either prove to work wonders in their dynamic or be a veritable lullaby of disaster.

After all, Aleera's own first warden, Giselle, had been the polar opposite of her own personality and nature. Yet, she had successfully dragged her at least half of the way to karmic recovery. Testament to just how unpredictable such pairings could be.

At least this version of Aleera knew better than to treat the girl before her as a plaything and source of food...

Mostly.

"Your co-operation," the vampiress declared, deciding her newest would at least be more willing to assist than General Chang had been. There, their combined stubborn personalities had contributed to immoveable object meeting unstoppable force. A status quo which refused to budge.

This was different.

"I am here to guide you," Aleera spoke, beginning to circle the girl, just because it was her natural instinct to do so. "To protect you... ( ... )

Lua watched from under her eyelids, trying not to move away when Aleera came in closer, the only sign of distress her shoulders bunching in. She'd have thought, with any other woman (especially a woman) that it was a show, but she knew enough men with that kind of power that this was the real thing. "I'm not going to make any trouble," she said, keeping the shake out of her voice. It was that simple. She'd stay quiet, do what she was asked, and go home.

She wished she hadn't thought of Dracula. Those were real fangs, and if she was something like that...

"No... You are not."

It was spoken more like an instruction than anything else. Or perhaps a knowing declaration. The kind of woman who Lua was not: Powerful, cruel and, most of all, overwhelmingly assertive. Whether or not that would be the kind of thing she would need, only time would tell.

"We are going to have fun together... And you are to tell me everything. Not a secret is to be hidden from me, Lua. We must have trust, yes...?"

Good sentiments, under any other circumstances. The trouble was, fear was something of an aphrodisiac for Aleera and she now had bands delicately placed upon both the girl's shoulders. Leaning in from behind, fangs still showing clear.

"Disciplining you would be... Unpleasant."

For a moment, it may have seemed as if Aleera might revert to form. Every bit of body language and vocal insinuation seemed to imply as much. But instead, fangs vanished and she took her inmate by the hand, twirling her around. Dance-like. Laughter spilling from her lips.

"Soon, we shall begin your lessons and all shall be
