Who: Dick Grayson and Billy Costigan [Closedish] What: Port nonsense. When: JURASSIC PORT. Where: lol Jurassic Park Warnings: Dinosaurs, bad language, probably violence.
Jurassic Park. It wasn't as bad as the abandoned church filled with zombies, forced into groups with people he barely knew, but it wasn't exactly a piece of cake either. The place was dangerous, filled with obstacles, and he hadn't exactly meant to embark into jungle territory for fresh air. Yeah, he still appreciated the adventure to being in the barge, but he generally preferred something a little less carnivorous
( ... )
Costigan paused and, despite his unease about the situation, turned to allow his warden better access to his wound. The inmate gingerly slid the jacket off of his left arm with only a contorted expression on his face expressing the pain that accompanied the gesture. His arm was covered in blood, though some was his and some was the dinosaur's. He held it out and used his right hand to motion to where the wound was, in case it wasn't clear.
After a beat, as Dick was working on the wound, he shifted a little and looked out at the sky. "Thanks."
"I think I'm the one who should be thanking you. Again," he added as an afterthought, since he had already said thanks. Still, it seemed almost inadequate to just say one word of gratitude after Costigan had pretty much saved his life.
He pulled out two disinfectant wipes, cleaned off his hands and then the area around the injury before ripping the field dressing's packaging open. He carefully wrapped the dressing around the injury, making sure it was snug without being uncomfortable, and hopefully putting enough pressure on the injury to help stop the bleeding. "We should probably find somewhere to get some of this off. We probably smell pretty good to any other carnivores wandering around."
Want to wrap this up / assume the rest soon? Or just keep going?lost_undercoverAugust 5 2011, 07:26:01 UTC
Costigan watched Dick at work for the first little bit, but he couldn't help flinching a little at the antibacterial fluid in his wound. At that point, he looked out and around, trusting his warden to secure the bandage well. He nodded at the suggestion and then, after a beat, looked back at Dick, realizing the vigilante may not have seen his nod. "Sure, yeah. There should be some kind of river nearby."
