7:50- Martha arrives thegooddrjones June 28 2011, 23:12:33 UTC
The last twenty-four hours had been a bit of a roller coaster for Martha, and it was one she wasn't even over yet. She didn't know about Sarah's degree that everything be alcoholic, so she bought a tin of biscuits and a bag of onion cheddar crisps with her. She would have made the effort to bake, but it simply wasn't in the cards for her at the moment.

When she walked into the pub doors, it was with a tentative smile, and she held her items in front of her like a shield. Howie's words were having a lingering effect on her, and she was worried that Sveta and Una were really livid with her, and that's why she hadn't heard from either of them.

Right now, she just wanted to celebrate, and to have people be happy for her and them.

Martha giggled when Molly shouted and raced towards her. She was exceptionally fond of the girl who was currently sporting lime green and pink hair. After all, both she and Severus still thought of Molly as their daughter, just a little bit. Quickly Martha hugged the girl, and then she touched her hair.

"I like the green."

Molly hugged her back and gave her an innocent grin. "I still have plenty, if you're interested." The grin turned a little wicked. "It might work better on you than the pink did."

Martha took a sip of her drink, and debated. She wasn't quite drunk enough yet to decide this was a good idea, but she was just drunk enough to start considering it as an option. "Do you have a darker green?"

"Well, the lime will come out a lot darker on your hair, since you're not starting out blonde..." Molly narrowed her eyes speculatively, trying to keep the laughter out of her voice when she spoke again. "Unless you wanted to bleach it first..."

Martha quickly shook her head with alarm at the mention of bleaching her hair. "That seems like a really bad idea considering I straighten it. So how dark green would it come out?" Not that she was thinking about a particular green or anything.

"Hm. Probably a dark green. But you'd definitely be able to see it against your hair." Molly gave her a sly look. "Does this mean you're going to let me find out?"

"Maybe." Martha said, and she swished around a drink. "I'm giving it a bit of thought and trying to decide if my husband will find it charming or if he'd divorce me for it."

Molly hummed thoughtfully. "That's an excellent question," she agreed solemnly. "At least it's not bubblegum pink? How did he react to the pink, anyway?"

That made Martha grin. "He thought it, and my hangover was hilarious and he treated it a bit like Christmas."

"That sounds like a vote for charming..." Molly smiled innocently.

Martha laughed and then she took a long sip of her drink. "See me in a few drinks or so, Molly. I think I've got a plan to make him a bit less unhappy with me."

"I'll remember you said that," she said, grinning wickedly. "Do you need another drink? You know, that one looks a little low..."

Martha laughed and leaned over and hugged Molly quickly and tightly. "Thanks, and remind me about the jacket, yeah?"

She hugged her back just as tightly. "I will--definitely. I'm glad you came tonight."

Thursday approached Martha a good deal later than everyone else, mostly because she hadn't precisely been on time herself. And, truth be told, she felt a little awkward about being here, if only because she hadn't actually met Martha in person yet, and she was still adjusting to the idea that the other woman was married. To Snape.

But she didn't know the circumstances behind all of that, and truth be told by this point she was rather too tipsy to care. So she walked over, a little unsteadily, one corner of her mouth quirking upward. "I understand congratulations are in order."
