Normally, pissed off Jason Bourne is a sight to avoid. Human salesmen, pedestrian warriors and insurance peddlers would all give him a wide berth right now.

The Iskoort, however, are none of these things. They see a guy with a picture and see one thing: business.

They rush him practically the moment he steps into the market area, milling all around him, jockeying and jostling and whining through their diaphragms.

< Allow me to harvest your spare fingers! >

< Give me your weapon and I will give you credit! >

< Come visit my Memory Theatre! >

< Your clothing stinks horribly! Allow me to cleanse you! >

There's a rush of alien bodies, and Bourne tenses, ready to lash out at any and all attackers.

Then he realizes that they're not trying to attack him, but to sell to him. He dismisses each request with a "No thank you," trying to be polite, but his body is still pumped full of adrenaline. And the constant whining noise coming from each of the aliens aside from their thought-speak...so annoying!

He just holds the photograph tightly, asking the Iskoort if they've seen the kid before.

Sometimes Bourne has to tell them repeatedly. The Iskoort, like stalkers, don't seem to get that 'no' means 'no'.

At one point a hideous larva is shoved in his face. A larva capable of burning, biting, and stinging all at once. And the Iskoort wants him to eat it.

On the other hand, if he had any heirs, apparently they'd be well compensated.

Finally one of them comes up who seems intent on something besides buying what Bourne has or selling him what he doesn't.

< Welcome to the merchant district of OS19! > he says. < You seek a new slave perhaps? > His eyes goggle at the photo, diaphragm whining as he thought-speaks. < I can get you one like it! Or if you like, a hardier slave? We have the finest stock! Hork-Bajir, Orff, Andalite... >

Bourne has decided that he really hates the Iskoort. Only the fact that he needs to not start a riot has kept him from using violence to keep them away - but he seems to have walked smack into their domain. Them, and some other big-eared short aliens with remedial fashion sense further away. He can't stop here - this is Iskoort country.

And then he comes upon this one selling him slaves. Not that he would buy any, but it couldn't hurt to take a look. He keeps his face neutral - not like that is at all a difficult task for him - and answers the slaver Iskoort. "I'll just look at the ones like this for right now." Though his interest was piqued at the mention of Andalites.
