What: The people being held as slaves have been rescued, and now Dick is getting Kirk out of there too.
When: Last day of port! After/during Bourne and Costigan and whoever else's escape from the evil slave base thing.

James was fairly certain this wasn't a raid. There were only a handful of them, as far as he could tell and the last he checked, the guards on this station didn't really care what he did down here so long as they got paid to turn the blind eye and he'd been paying them.

So this was something else. Family members trying to get their children back? Friends from the ship? He supposed that he didn't really care. It was the slaves they were after and he was here, safe in his personal room. For the moment. After they'd found what they were looking for, James planned on activating the shock collars and going after the other assholes himself.

He had no idea one of the idiots was in his ventilation.

Idiots. Please. This was like a regular day at the office for Dick. Although really, there were other parts of the job he missed a lot more than crawling through air ducts.

Finally, according to the scanner he'd picked up, anyway, and the layout of the building he'd been able to score off one of the goons, he was where he needed to be, and after carefully opening a panel, he hopped out of the shaft, landing neatly and almost silently on the floor outside the room. Using one of the swipe cards he'd stolen off of the same goon, he opened the door. It hissed open, and he immediately stood back, hand gripped around the handle of the phaser-like device he'd grabbed before coming into the base.

What the fuck. James grabbed the tranquilizer gun he had for times like these, though usually he had a wild captive to deal with who really wasn't that hard to put down. This idiot he wasn't so sure about.

"Don't be shy," James called. "You've come all this way."

Dick checked the setting on the blaster, since although he wasn't planning on actually shooting at his friend, he really didn't want to fry him by accident.

Still, Kirk didn't have to know that, so without hesitating any longer, he stepped into the room, blaster first just so his point was totally clear, the weapon held levelly at his chest. He could dodge gunfire, and he'd fought against people with more futuristic weapons before too, so he wasn't... all that concerned.

"It's over, Kirk. Don't do anything stupid"
