A Day In The Life.

Feb 27, 2011 05:39

Who: The Tenth Doctor and anyone.
Where: All over. Anywhere and everywhere.
When: Sometime after the port.
What: A Day In The Life.
Warnings: None yet!

Feel free to add new threads/times/places. Anything goes. I had to sit the port out, so now he needs to DO THINGS. I don't really care what, as long as it makes some semblance of sense. Have at it ( Read more... )

[Any random hall or area, wandering around/exploring/et. al. Odds are, he's been up all night.]

[Narvin has spoken with both the elder Doctors now, and still hasn't been able to pinpoint through 'round about conversation which one told Kay to be wary of a psychic link with him. He's reached a point of frustration that, if he has to ask about it directly, he will.]

Doctor. You missed a cathartic port. [He smiled tightly. Relieving frustration and stress by shooting people wasn't a good habit to form, but he had to admit that it had worked wonders for his mood...for a day or two.]

One person's cathartic is another person's horrific. [He says it rather archly, but coats it with a minimum amount of politeness. He wants to be patient with Narvin, really, he does, but that sort of remark doesn't endear the other Time Lord to him.] And no one ought to be forced into that kind of situation. I can hardly think of a worse idea for a port, honestly.

Ack! I thought I had replied to this. timesbureaucrat March 1 2011, 11:57:47 UTC
I don't know, I thought that previous one where we were all forced to be human was absolutely horrible. [Yes, in Narvin's mind being forced to be human for a few days is worse than crossing a post-nuclear holocaust wasteland.]

But I didn't seek you out to talk about the Admiral's choice of tourist destinations.

[His room, working on various things in the TARDIS. Go ahead and knock. He'll notice that you're at the door. Well. Eventually.]

[In the library. He'll probably be here for quite a while. Not because he's a slow reader - far, far from it - but simply because he likes libraries. Libraries make sense. (Unlike the rest of this ship. Or the rest of the universe at large.) And because he likes reading anything and everything he can.]

[Happily cleaned up and feeling relieved after a few days of traipsing through the wilderness, Kay's decided to grab some reading material. He gives the Doctor a polite nod as he returns his books and smiles at him briefly.] Doc.

Kay. [He turns with a quite a broad grin--before he remembers that he really shouldn't be that pleased to see him. Unsafe alliances and poor judgment and all that....

And he decides that this won't, in fact, prevent him from being friendly, because he quite likes Kay. So there.] How are you faring these days? Reading anything particularly gripping?

Some old detective novels. I used to translate 'em in my spare time, 'cause the Twins dug 'em after I introduced them to him. [He held a volume of collected dime novels, not really known for their wonderful writing but something that if you could get past "the burly detective" made for pretty good stories to share to interstellar races.]

[He doesn't quite do regular meals, so there won't be any actual dinner taking place. You may find him wandering about munching on something very insubstantial. Possibly a biscuit. Or a banana.]

[On deck. Staring out and studying the stars as if he's finally going to be able to work out where in the universe the Barge is. (He isn't.) Odds are, he'll be up all night. Again.]

[If the Doctor looks over to the left, he may just see his venerable Founder. Apparently fishing over the side. There's a rod and everything.]

[Glance. Double-take. Full-on stare.

He's going to amble over now, and try to inconspicuously see if that fishing rod-shaped thing really is what he thinks it is. And "inconspicuously" means that he'll be peering over your shoulder as conspicuously as possible.]

[A heavy sigh. The Doctor is in the way of his swinging the fishing rod, which is what it is, just with a sensor rather than tackle at the end of it.] Can I help you, Doctor?
