Spike was in his room, blasting the Sex Pistols and playing a game on his Item. He wasn't really expecting any visitors, so he looked up in surprise when he heard the knock. He paused the game and walked over to the door, frowning a bit. He knew it was a vampire outside, judging by the smell and the lack of a heartbeat, but not one he knew well enough to recognize on scent. He opened the door and gave Nicki an impatient look.
By that time, the few seconds that had elapsed, Nicki’s brain was on a whole new topic (It probably would have done that with or without the music he heard). He almost didn’t seem to notice the man who opened the door, just staring past him into the room, bobbing his head back and forth to see over Spikes shoulders “What was that sound?”
He'd learned in his short time here, people made sounds he didn’t like when he went into their rooms without an invitation, and he was very curious now, blinking finally at the blonde "Make it happen again?"
"What, my music?" Spike walked over and hit the rewind button on his ipod, sending it back to the beginning of the song. He didn't bother to issue an official invite since vampires could go into other vampires rooms where he was from, but he did leave the door open. He didn't really mind if Nicki entered. "Sure. D'you like it?"
Nicki followed, flitting over in his weird super speed way (Im sure there’s a word for it), and stared at the player, his head tipping this way and that while he listening "Is this future music? Is it all like this?" and then, the very worst question "...Is there more?"
