Hey! Someone came! Mitchell grinned, and immediately rounded on Loki, completely undeterred by the other man ignoring him, "All right there!" He greeted the God cheerily, before unwrapping one finger from the bottle clutched in his hand, to point at Loki, "Did I speak to you already? Or were you just passing by?"

Mitchell's eyebrows lifted. God of mischief. Come on now, Mitchell, you're a vampire who lives in a house with a Werewolf and a Ghost, you are not in any position to get all skeptical about things like this. "Loki! Good to meet you. You know, I think our next door neighbors back home named their cat after you?"

That was a good talking point, wasn't it?

"John Mitchell. I'm afraid I don't come with an official title to go with that."

Nicki had just been walking back to his room sadly, his new friend seemed pretty upset. He couldn’t for the life of him figure out why. Some people on the barge were just weird.

He walked into the common room in his old clothes, cream dress shirt, legging and boots from the 17th century, with blood all down the front on his face, Nicki’s poor hair attempting to stay back in the black ribbon that was failing to hold it back.
He was carrying a dented juicer. Also bloody.

Oh a party! Wonderful! He could use a party.

Mitchell was just in the process of rearranging the biscuits, when the smell of blood hit him. He felt a wave of hunger pushing at the back of his throat, before he rejected the sensation to focus on the more important problem here. Blood meant an open wound. Enough blood that he could smell it meant that someone could be seriously hurt. Mitchell had turned and taken two steps towards the source of the smell before his eyes fell on the culprit, blood smeared down from his mouth.

Fuck.

He approached the vampire quickly, his posture tense, "Who's blood is that? Where are they?" They were probably dead, but... that had to be his priority. Taking care of them first, getting the vampire contained second, party... party would have to come third.

So much for first impressions.

Nicki blinked alittle "Hm? Oh the blood, that’s mine. My friend put my face in this" he held up the juicer, which appeared to have a bit of nose still in it "Isn’t it amazing!? It can make anything liquid. He let me keep it, I’m going to put things in it” he was quite pleasant, evidently his face had healed “You look just like Armand, you know. Are you Armand? No, you’re far too nice” He air kissed the sides of the boys cheeks “Im Nicki, its nice to meet you”

This was... disgusting. Mitchell didn't need to force himself to think it when his mind pieced together what it was he was looking at in the blender. "That's-- that's your face?" Mitchell looked from the blender to the young man before him, pointedly ignoring whatever weird Anne Rice reference was being made there. "All right Nicki, I'm Mitchell, and I think what we need to do here, is get you cleaned up, and have a word with your warden, all right?"

He reached out to take Nicki by the crook of his arm and begin steering him towards the door. "Where's your cabin, Nicki?"

FOR REALS NOW. whattasteisthis December 9 2010, 04:12:53 UTC
Armand wasn't one to usually indulge parties, but he had little else to do at the moment and a gathering would be the best place to scope out fresh blood. He knew he couldn't feed from Rex, and most certainly didn't want to either, so he had to find someone because that bottled blood was simply horrific to drink.

And then he saw Mitchell. Immediately, the vampire's eyebrows furrowed and he straightened his cuffs rigidly, smoothed out his coat and vest, and worked his best to not look like the bum. When he quieted his senses to listen and smell, it told him that his apparent twin was a vampire as well. This couldn't go on. Armand strode over toward the host, his usual saunter absent as he had business to do. However, he said nothing, as he expected his face to do more talking.

Mitchell was taking a brief break from playing the good host to launch his own attack on the plate of chocolate covered digestives he'd set out earlier. He had just jammed the second half of one such biscuits into his mouth when a stern, dark, eerily familiar face appeared at his side.

Well, here was a man who needed no introduction. Mitchell carefully chewed and swallowed the remainder of his biscuit, before turning to face the other vampire straight on, "You'd be Armand, I'm guessing? Few people have been telling me to watch for you."

Armand simply smiled a little cruelly in response, glad to hear of such an excellent reputation. No one needed to know how he worked so desperately to change in order to not be a danger to Rex. Nonetheless, the vampire straightens his coat again.

"I am, yes," his voice was smooth, "Who are you?"

Not that he particularly cared, but it was good to know as much as you could about your potential enemy.

It was sooner rather than later that the human Armand looked in, as he'd promised. He stayed near the doorway, noting that his inmate, Loki, was there, but he didn't want to spoil the god's fun. He was dressed in his comfortable gray wool coat, yellow striped waistcoat and boots. His hair was neatly pulled back into a ribbon, as usual.

He finally entered, crossing to look over the alcohol, but not touching anything yet.

The moment Mitchell detected a new guest, he disengaged from his current conversation and moved to intercept, materializing at Armand's side cheerily, "Hey! Glad you could make it!" He offered the man a smile, despite having absolutely no idea who he was, "Did I catch you on the journals earlier, or have you just arrived here?"

Armand smiled back, automatically, while his brain tried to catch up. The voice was all wrong, but this man looked exactly like his vampiric namesake. "Oh dear, this isn't going to go well," he murmured. He hadn't answered Mitchell's question, but perhaps his voice and accent would be recognizable.

Yep, The accent jumped right out at Mitchell and he grinned widely, jutting a finger towards Armand, "Ahhh, not a party person are we? Come on now, don't be so defeatist! D'you want a drink? I've got... some wine, some beer, some juice... whatever's your preference."

Data was simply passing by the commons rooms to go see Martha when food and drink and activity distracted him. He'd waned considerably in his efforts to be a social butterfly recently, so he found himself standing awkwardly and watching in one of the doorways rather than approaching anyone.

Mitchell glanced up automatically towards the doorway as he noticed the presence of a figure there. Upon observing the slightly jaundiced, uncomfortably placed young man, he decided that in the spirit of inflicting himself upon people and being extra nice to everyone, he should go over and try to put the other man at ease.

Lifting a hand to give Data a friendly wave, he approached him, "Hey! Come on in, you're making the place look untidy!"

That seemed to confuse him, but he came in as he was beckoned and put his hands in his pockets. "This is quite an introduction." He bore a strong resemblance to the vampire he'd seen on the networks, but he could see subtle differences. Enough that he could readily establish the two as separate people without mistake.

Mitchell was about to say something about needing to make a first impression, or save his reputation from the fangs of a vampire he's never met, before the urge to just... lean in and plant a kiss on the strangers mouth, overcame him. So he did. It was brief, and chaste, and Mitchell jerked back quickly afterward, looking surprised with himself, "Ah-- Right, quite an introduction..."

He smiled, trying to cover his sudden awkwardness as he wondered what the hell he'd been thinking just then, "Sorry, I'm not normally quite that forward with total strangers. My name's Mitchell."

Have a hand extended to you, Data, because... awkward kisses must be followed up with handshaking.
