Uhura was actually not busy that morning. She had a vague notion to go see Ana, but it was just something in the back of her mind, rather than an urge. Really, she was afraid to see Ana again. She didn't want to face her failure that, once again, she had failed to save her from fire. However, the officer knew that, sooner or later, it would have to happen. She would have to go and talk to her. She would have to go and see her. She simply wasn't sure if she could do that today.

So she wasn't really thinking anything when she noticed Clapet down the end of the hallway. Frankly, she wasn't expecting any sort of trouble from him or anyone else, especially after what had happened this past week. Why couldn't they all just...chill out for a while?

Clapet saw Uhura, and sized up the possibility in his mind. She was definitely uptight enough to do something if he hit her out of the blue, but unlikely to break into a fight too, which was the last thing he wanted.

She was a stickler enough to dump him in zero, he was entirely sure of it. He paused for a moment at the end of the corridor, then calmly walked down the corridor, and as he got close to her, just swung a fist at her face. It wasn't full force, or even a great amount of effort. Just enough to piss her off.

She didn't even see it coming and didn't have a chance to dodge or even react to the incoming fist. The impact of his hand against her face, as well as her shock at the whole situation, was enough to knock her backwards a bit and she reached a hand back to the wall to support herself.

"What the hell?!" she raged at him, her free hand coming to her face. It was tender, but unlikely to actually bruise. Once she was capable, she reached down to her phaser (which she carried now thanks to the blackout) and pointed it straight at him. The situation didn't look good to her. This inmate hits her out of nowhere and he's big. And rather intimidating. She's not taking any chances.

After she took a step back, Clapet didn't say anything, or move. He just held his hands up in surrender when she pointed the phaser at him. He didn't offer any explanation, either, just waited for her to act. She certainly looked angry and confused enough to drag him to zero, he was fairly sure of it.

He wasn't about to resist at all. Unless she wasn't angry enough to take him, then he might have to cause a little more trouble.
