"No. Well, in a way, they have warned me, but I haven't heard more than just that strange things happen during the floods."
He paused for a moment, and then asked, "What do you know about them?"

Dorian rolled over to the night stand and felt for his silver case. Withdrawing a cigarette, he struck a match and lit his cigarette. After this, he settled himself back against the pillows and glanced at Adrian beside him.
"Would you like one?" he asked.

Perhaps it was the utilitarian in him.
Dorian, at least, was ignorant of who he was. He liked that and thought he might try to keep it that way. However, in another sense, he could be more himself around Dorian than he could others, though he was careful not to let too much show through the mask.
He got the sense that Dorian wouldn't care what a terrible person he was, and would even applaud him for it. A part of him liked that idea as well. In fact, right now, he felt he could kill a million more people, again, or maybe save the world, again.
It was very odd how these two sides to him mixed.
