Who: Prefect, Sylar, Tim, & Slade When: Day one of BFF flood Where: CES What: Prefect & Sylar and Tim & Slade are BFFs. Major trauma to follow later. Warnings: None
Tim was kind of freaked out. No, freaked out wasn't the right phrase - unnerved was good, though. He was definitely unnerved. Sylar and Prefect? He should probably talk to Tyler about this, but given how happy Sylar looked - well, he could bring it up with Tyler later. For now, he just had to go hang out in the CES and make sure this wasn't a murder plot.
He was so glad Slade was meeting him there. Tim didn't want to be a third wheel if this was as innocent as Sylar made it sound - at least he'd have someone to talk to.
The thank you took him by surprise, though, and Tim's eyebrows jumped up. "Uh, yeah. No problem." He hesitated a moment longer before adding, "Slade's going to meet us there. So it doesn't have to look like I'm just watching you two."
Tragically, Sylar was oblivious to Tim and Slade's normal relationship and could make no comment as to how odd it was. If it were Edward, maybe he would remark upon it. Instead, it was just a vague note in the back of his mind that Tim had another friend he hadn't told Sylar about. Naturally, the killer assumed his friend was an inmate as well since Drake didn't seem to befriend inmates

Prefect had set off to meet Sylar and Tim half way, hesitating ever so slightly as the other man reached up towards his face. His instinct was to pull away, he was so used to doing so, but... it had been so long since they'd been close, and he really had been getting better about the whole touching thing, since Pavi and Kirk had ensured frequent physical contact over the last few months, he was sort of starting to get used to it again even if he still didn't like it, exactly. So after a very brief moment of thought, he smiled, resisting the urge to retreat, "I've been... I don't know. You know how the Barge is, Comrade. There've been good things and bad things, but right now I couldn't be happier."
This was so strange, he could actually feel a twinge of nervousness going through him, even though he knew Sylar wouldn't reject him now. It was just... it had been so long, and his hatred for the other man had been so unfounded... the shame of rejecting Sylar for so long made the belief that this was actually happening seem so unreal

I'm thinking we break into separate threads once in CES if that's cool?gray_atonementMay 30 2010, 21:30:33 UTC
Sylar dropped his hand without actually touching Prefect, knowing that the other man not pulling away was its own response. The inmate began walking with Prefect toward the CES, casting a wary gaze back to his warden in the pause before he looked back to Prefect and responded again. "Trying to get what I need."
The two of them walked side-by-side to continue to the CES, Tim behind them for the moment. It didn't take long at all before they arrived there and Sylar caught sight of who he assumed to be the additional member of their party loitering near the entrance of the warden only levels. He was silent as they approached, waiting until he and Prefect got some alone time to begin speaking in more detail.
Tim watched as Sylar and Prefect walked off, glad Sylar was keeping within viewing distance. And when they'd put enough distance between themselves, Tim slid his hands into his pockets and finally turned to look up at Slade.
"So," he started, a little awkwardly. He wasn't really sure what the hell they should talk about now.
