Of all the-- THIS WAS SO HUMILIATING! It was bad enough that the security of his secret hideout failed so badly that he'd been captured by the government's goons, but then-- THEN!-- to make matters worse... his new captors gave him a bath. He was all... clean now, the layers of protective grime washed away with an industrial hose. Eughhh. Disgusting.

At least they let him keep his gas mask. He needed it to live (no, he didn't)!

The Commander hissed at the assistants as they set him up on the table, then directed his attention at the woman who was obviously in charge. "What is the meaning of thissss... this... CHICANERY!" He'd recently found a "word a day" calendar in one of his rummaging fits, and he'd been working hard to incorporate it into his daily vocabulary.

"Silence." She frowned at the intake form. Was this creature really a mutant? The basic vital statistics were all so ... ordinary. She moved to the side of the examining table and bent over to look at the subject a little more closely; then she pulled out her stethoscope (a far more advanced piece of equipment than the Earth equivalent, with a lot more bits and blinkenlights, but serving the same basic function) and pressed it to his chest.

The wheezing she heard was consistent with the kinds of chronic chest troubles that so many people seemed to have in the nastier parts of the Master's urban wastelands. Hard to say if it had the promise of the mutant she had investigated earlier ... "Remove the gas mask," she snapped, gesturing to one of the assistants.

He let out another irritated hiss when the stethoscope pressed to his chest. "That's cold-- HEY! I need that for my secret identity!" Oh, he was going to get his revenge against this woman and her minions, just as soon as he was able to... well. Get up and get his revenge. Blasted examination table. He jerked against the restraints angrily, but to no avail, as the gas mask was removed. "Great, I'm gonna die now!" he spat, giving the offending assistant an "I hope you're happy" look.

Let me know if anything the Rani does to him isn't cool. rani_ushas April 15 2010, 18:25:31 UTC
"Silence. This air is cleaner than anything you would breathe in the city." She grabbed his chin with an uncomfortably firm grip to hold his head steady and picked up an autorefractor to examine his eyes.

Nothing interesting. She traded out the autorefractor for an otoscope and a tongue depressor. First she took a look in his ears and nose, none too gently in either case. Both were fairly disgusting, but that was normal for the freaks and the scum; and anyway there was nothing interesting to be seen. "Open your mouth. Or it will be opened for you."
