WHAT; Baby is minding her own when Snape decides to make up rules and attempt to beat her death. Paddy intervenes as Baby is a source of his income.

Severus, as a member of the military police, had had one hell of a difficult day. The appearance of the ship had thrown a great wrench in the semi-peaceful routine her had, and now, in his off-duty hours, he was spoiling for a fight. He found it in Vera Ellen.

Of course, technically she wasn't doing anything wrong - but he recognized her as one of the streetwalkers from the area. No one would miss her - he doubted anyone would even care.

As he approached her, he withdrew a baton from his belt and smacked it against his hand - an almost stereotypical gesture. He was only a few feet from her when he spoke. "You there! There's a curfew in effect! Explain yourself!"

She stiffened at the voice, creasing her brow in brief irritation before twirling on the spot (it made the skirts flutter out around her waist) with a most false and overly happy smile. "Officer Snape, what a lovely surprise. I was just thinking we needed more - " Vera paused to do a slow once over on Severus with his alpha stance and simpered. "Hmm, yes. Anyhow, I know nothing about some silly little curfew."

Vera Ellen surreptitiously glanced to her right to see if any stragglers were around, hoping to bring Snape's focus on them instead. She had a client to meet with soon and she sure as hell couldn't afford to be arrested or deal with his nonsense.
