Who: Harvey Dent, Jack Durden, Hayley Stark.. and begrudgingly Wichita Where: Ze bar When: Day after returning home from port, after dinner What: Three friends sharing a drink to get over awkward fake-love times Warnings: None
Jack made his way up to the bar kind of slowly. The whole thing with Hayley during port had been weird, and he wasn't sure how he felt about seeing her, even knowing that she had been under love potion, and it hadn't been her really. He'd skipped out of the wedding when she was distracted because the strangeness of everything had got to him. Jack clomped up the stairs thinking about the whole thing and how surreal it was.
Oh well, beer was always appreciated, and Harvey was going to be there, he thought as he crossed the deck to the upper levels. It couldn't really go too wrong. He walked into the bar and headed over to where he could see Hayley and Harvey standing. As he walked over, he raised a hand and said, "Hey."
Hayley smiled as Jack arrived. Once glance up at Harvey's grin was reassuring that this had been a good plan and she made her way over to the bar, pulling up a chair across from where Harvey was now serving them. She didn't motion for Jack to join her and tried not to even look at him for an extended period. While it may have come across as a hint cold, it was better than him being awkward from her being too friendly.
"Screwdriver, please," she asked Harvey with a hint of the arrogance she hadn't felt during port. Yeah, she was only eighteen, but she had been drinking for years and wasn't afraid to keep on drinking. As long as Harvey respected that, they wouldn't have any issues. And she hoped he would know better than to bring it up--if he was going to--when Jack wasn't around.
While she normally had a rule about mixing her drinks herself, Harvey was the one other person she trusted.
