She removed her hands from her face and clasped them in front of her, sobbing, but without tears. Tears would obviously ruin her makeup, so she opted out of the real thing. She felt like crying, if that counted for anything.

She looked up at Howie and stuttered, "A wine cooler would be g-good. Anything. I've just had the worst day, Howie..."

"Oh, all her days are the worst days," Toshiko snapped, crossing the room with inordinate ease given the high heels. "What's so terrible, did you break a nail? God, you're an oversensitive slapper." She lifted one hand in greeting to Howie.

Hayley & Wichita victimofnoone January 8 2010, 19:09:35 UTC
"Wichita!" Hayley came stumbling eagerly into the pub, practically tripping over her own feet in her excitement to make up to her warden that little mistake of poking her with the tools when her warden's foot twitched in her sleep. If only she had been more careful! Now she was determined to make a fantastic Cosmo for Wichita, even if she didn't really know how to make one. That was what the book was for, the one she'd quickly pulled from her room with many drink recipes; surely there was a Cosmo in there. There had to be!

Wichita lifted an eyebrow at Hayley, obviously examining her appearance critically. "Seriously, kid, you need to stop being so fucking eager all the time. It's really annoying. What the hell are you doing here?" She pretended she hadn't invited Hayley. Scolding her right off the bat for whatever she could figure out would keep Hayley in line.

"I'm here to make you a Cosmo like you asked!" Hayley informed her. Poor Wichita was obviously so distraught that she entirely forgot! Her warden was in worse shape than she thought. The inmate quickly rushed to behind the bar, flicking open her book and searching through the index as quickly as she could. Being only eighteen, she had never actually had any alcohol herself other than that one time when Wichita had forced her, but she had gotten pretty good at mixing drinks and a Cosmo couldn't be too difficult.

Wichita shrugged, obviously annoyed at Hayley's eager and sweet attitude. She took a seat at the far and solitary corner of the bar so she could work on her Inmate without being bothered. It wasn't easy to tell with her vain, insecure, and petty facade, but Wichita believe fully in the Barge's cause, and intended to bend Hayley to it.

"Hurry it up, kid! I don't have all frickin' day!"

John finally stumbled down to the bar, finding a place near the corner. He already had a beer in hand, his mood a dark one. He still thought it was a huge inconvenience that he had to come down to this damn place to get more alcohol. If he were in charge of this place, beer would be stocked in every room. Every. And be bottomless. Because nothing else besides drowning sorrows of lost loved ones mattered.

Dexter had hoped to find John in his cabin so he could help him to the bar, but it turned out that he'd left already. When Dexter arrived at his cabin, his door was open and he could see a twenty-four pack of beer empty, and on the floor. He knew where to find him if he'd run out of drink.

Dexter found his way to the bar and began shouting at the door. He wouldn't be able to get in without his Warden, but he figured John would oblige since Dexter usually brought him drinks until he couldn't walk back to his cabin.

When he heard the yells of his inmate, John reluctantly stood from his seat and tottered to the door, opening it and standing aside to let him in. "Dexter," he grumbled, the name slurring.

Dexter held up a hand in greeting, seeming as cheerful as normal. "Greetings there, chief. What's the news for today? Anything exciting going on for you? Gonna see the boys today, perhaps?" Despite his reservations about his Warden, Sam wasn't a bad kid. Just a mislead, frat-boy drunk. He wasn't acquainted with Dean because, well, Dean was Michael. He wanted Sam to have a relationship with his father, at least.

Elle and Howie - either before or after the other thread cautionarystory January 9 2010, 22:35:57 UTC
Elle made her way up to the pub and knocked on the door, waiting for Howie to open it. She intended to stick to him like glue, at least for the rest of the day. By now, she could handle him, but the people who had changed probably wouldn't be able to.

"Sarge? Lemme in."

"How could I turn down 'I guess I'm obliged'? It's just a moving sentiment."

Elle walked over to the bar and made herself a fruity-tasting drink. It was incredibly girly, she knew, but she didn't really care what anybody else thought, and she didn't like the bitter taste of alcohol unless it was masked by a lot of sugar and raspberries.

She slid onto a bar stool and glanced over at him. "You just gonna stand there all day?"
