West looked up from the book jacket he was skimming. He spotted Rose, arched an eyebrow with confusion, and turned to look around. Although he had met the Doctor with his face once before, way back when he'd first arrived on the Barge over a year ago, so much had happened since then that he really had forgotten about those old cases of mistaken identity. "Er-- pardon?"
Luckily, West was feeling fairly relaxed for once-- if he hadn't, it was highly likely that the sight of a person running at him would've triggered some PTSD madness and ended in him smacking Rose across the face with the book he was holding. But the fact that he hadn't seen an Infected in about a year, hadn't even had more than the odd nightmare since his return, has left West feeling a bit more tolerant of spontaneous human contact.
Still, he's stiff and awkward as the girl hugs him. Had she... missed him or something? West couldn't recall chatting with her much before. Perhaps Rose was simply relieved to be back on the Barge, much as he had been when he returned. Still, West can't contain the look of utter confusion on his face.

"I-- ah... I'm happy to see you, too, Rose?"
