Go Tim!

You can do it! I weighed myself after months of lethargy and discovered that I am now 20 lbs over my all time highest weight. Uh... yikes. I'm trying to get at least 30 minutes of exercise every day and keep an eye on my calorie intake. My goal is to shed 40ish pounds by my birthday in June. I will totally cheer you on!

So, John's over adventurous co-worker managed to convince him to join a biggest looser competition at work...and if he gains during the competition, we have to put in more money. Thus the Houser family is motivated. The goal is fewer desserts, one meal of fish per week, and some form of activity every day. We're not perfect, by any means, but at least we're not gaining any ground in the wrong direction.

Coincidentally, I decided to give up chocolate for lent (although I accidentally ate a bite of chocolate chip cookie two days in a row...and it's only day three!) Weight loss was certainly not my main motivation for this pick, but it does play in nicely.

Anyway, well done.
