~I don't feel like it is that cracky either. In fact, I feel like it needs to be less serious and more crazy to be in the realm where the inconsistencies can be easily overlooked ( ... )

Despite expecting crack, I think I'm getting used to the level of crack it's at -minimum-medium xD

Yea, I'm sensing that episodic life lesson thing might happen, but there is that plot of finding Imoko, so hopefully that gets intriguing.

Oh! I hadn't even thought about the space.

LOL, as long as he doesn't get naked xD Do his roles turn for the worse when that happens? I'm enjoying his character so far, it's interesting.

Yeah, there is supposedly the Imoko plot, but I don't know if that really counts as a plot unless it gets more involved than it is now.

The space/filming is my favorite part so far. I like it so much I might even watch it just for that.

Actually the roles where I have seen him naked would have been awful had he never been anything but fully clothed. I just personally think he looks bad naked to the point where it is kind of sickening--clearly not my body type or something. XD

Anna: Why would you have hated Toda Erika? Not that I see this as one of her best performances, but I am curious.

I tend to base my opinions of actors based on their characters. I know this isn't quite logical since these are actors and their characters aren't necessarily associated with their RL personalities, but my initial reaction to Erika after the first half-hour was that she was mean xD. Even though she did change, that impression would've stuck. I should've clarified ^_^;;

Otherwise, I like Saki's crass personality. Especially towards Shinnosuke.

Yeah, if you base your opinion on the character, I can see why you wouldn't have liked her. I don't think it is mentally possible to entirely separate the actor from the character, though one thing that makes a good actor in my mind is making me appreciate a character that I dislike by making them believable or whatever.

I watched only 1st ep so far. When it downloaded i felt rally frustrated so it might have influence to my feelings towards this drama becuse serioesuly... i downloaded this one ep vie jdownloader/megaupload and i waited whole 5 days =_=' while other dramas download speed was fine. Anyway after waiting so long i didn't feel that it was worth to waste this time if i could download something better.

Anyway cast seems to be great. Suuki Emi annoys me but whatever. I seriously love Yaguchi Mari , kawaii mama so i was glad to see her there. Fujiki is also love. But i think i wasn't ready for what i saw in first ep? I mean i was awaiting crack but i'm not sure what i really got. Everything started with cat fight and then we're getting cowboy from USA and all. Actually after only 1st ep becuse i didn't have chance to watch 2nd one i'm a bit confused if i should watch next eps or if i will like it. This drama is average so far.

// that's all i could write lol XD

That sucks. Could you try downloading from somewhere else or streaming?

I love Yaguchi here! I especially think her voice really works for it.

I think finding a great drama is difficult in general, since you don't know ahead of time what they are going to be like, and even more difficult when you have to pick something this many people are going to watch together. I am looking forward to the discussion more than the drama myself, so as long as that is fun and the drama isn't horrible, I think I will end up happy. So . . . I don't want to make you feel like you should watch something you're not interested in, but I like hearing your thoughts on things in general, so I don't really want you to leave us. ;D

- I have to admit, I'm not enjoying this drama very much. I think it's because it feels. . .off, somehow. Like it should be more crack-y then it is.

- It is kind of cool to see all these actress who were up-and-coming at the time. To know whose going to blow up and to see how their acting styles have changed.

- Fujiki Naohito. For the most part I like him well enough. He's doing fine in this drama. For me, it's about what type of character he plays; because, I have disliked his characters, but never him as an actor.

I didn't think I would enjoy it either, but it's not too bad. The plot, what we've seen so far of it, isn't all too spectacular, but I'm curious as to what will happen.
Yea! It's not that cracky despite the premise, so I'm surprised by that.

Am I the only one who was not expecting this to be cracky? I mean, I was not expecting that at all (to the point that I was actually a little surprised by how silly it is), but everyone else here has commented that they were expecting it to be cracky and surprised that it wasn't. . . .

Maybe, lol.
People commented that it seemed cracky even before they started watching this drama xD But I guess that's how everyone interpreted it based on the synopsis. The word that made me think this was going to be silly was 'American cowboy' as played by Fujiki...the image...there's just something 'O_o' about it, and I couldn't take it seriously.
