[And some time after he and Buffy have rescued Peter, Date's wandering the halls himself. He's never really been one to stick around too long, and he was honestly itching to go back out there to take out a few more zombies or at least something to relieve his boredom.

At this point, the One-Eyed Dragon had taken his helmet off, no point in keeping it on when he was within the Compound.

It's not until he notices the little girl wandering that he pauses, blinking]
