Itachi crouched at the very tip of the roof of the West Tower, which gave him a vantage point to see the doors of the prison. He crouched there, waiting, his body perfectly still and silent but his chakra leaking out like a beacon to people who could sense such things

[Sasuke doesn't care how long Itachi made it sound like he would have - not that there was anywhere for the bastard to go, but he doesn't particularly believe that Itachi will just stand still and wait for him after six years of running away and brushing him off. He runs as fast as he possibly can without resorting to chakra, because he has to save that for this fight, and he tracks down his brother like a bloodhound. He's still expecting to find the Itachi he knows, to be laughed at and have it revealed that he was just faking over the radio, he's still the same murderer as always.

He kicks through the doors and turns the second he's outside, knowing already where to find Itachi, and without wasting a second he unfolds his largest shuriken and throws it at him, waiting for it to boomerang, hoping to get him off-guard for just one second.]

Get down here, you bastard!

[Itachi sees the shuriken coming at him, grabs the lip of the roof and swings down. He dodges the shuriken as he nearly free-falls from the top of the tower, catching onto handholds smaller than one can see at Sasuke's distance to slow himself.

He disappears from Sasuke's view long before the shuriken curves around to come back, landing on the ground outside of the compound, just beyond the gates, and turns to trot away, deeper into the ruins outside of their protective prison.

Sasuke expects him to run, and he's going to get what he expects for now.]

[He can't move. For just a few seconds, he can't move while he waits for the shuriken to come back to him, and in that time, he has to watch Itachi run, and he screams at him, shaking so violently that it's amazing he's still managing to stay standing - it's not fear, it's rage and anticipation and bloodthirst, but it's enough to make him tremble like that.]

I knew it! I knew you were the same- [He catches the shuriken and he's off after Itachi like lightning.] Get back here! You said you wouldn't hide!

[Itachi heard the shouts and grimaced to himself. He wondered what Sasuke really thought he was like. And why he thought he had changed so much. He had to have deliberately cultivated such a belief in him.

He kept on running, pausing every so often to let Sasuke come into view, then taking off again.

Finally he entered a building, moving into the lobby of the tall highrise. He paused and turned, waiting for Sasuke to catch up.]
