Come in, [she called from the table in the middle of the room, looking up from a collection of papers she'd been writing on.] I was just doing the inventory. What is it, Seth?

[S.L. wasn't immune to how downcast she seemed.]

[Seth finds a seat in the room. She's fidgeting in her chair like a scared child but, her eyes are oddly intense.]

... Someone very bad showed up here a few days ago from my world.

[turning to face her and setting down the paper to give Seth her full attention]

You're not an alarmist. What would you suggest be done about it?

I want to say "throw him out" but, he won't take it lying down S.L. He'll find a way to hurt the people here or convince you that I'm the person who has to go.
