Over the past few days it's become abundantly clear that avoiding all my usual haunts is the only way to stay pristine and unspoiled until the Deathly Hallows fairy visits. I sure can't go to ohnotheydidn't, or even read my friends list. It's not that I don't trust you-it's more that I don't trust me. If you post a link to the leaked pages, I will ( Read more... )

Hey, it won't take you that long to read Harry Potter! I'm betting on less than a day, if you're dedicated. This book is way shorter than OOTP, which I've read in under 12 hours =X

And brace yourself for a big shock: I'm not going to *any* of the scheduled Hanson shows. I guess there's a first time for everything ;) I've had Harry Potter release day plans forever, and just couldn't be bothered to sort out the details of any of the other shows. (Like when they are.)

Are you going?

I've already told my mother not to call me on Saturday. I will be buried in the last book, completely unplugged, because I have to finish it before Monday, when everyone under the sun (and them some) will be talking about it.

I'm holing up for the weekend with a friend from high school in her Berkshires timeshare-a new Harry Potter book, a private hot tub, and maid service? It'll be like heaven, only with fewer harps.

Sounds perfect. Hopefully it'll be a beautiful Pocono weekend and I can sit outside and read.

Hell hath no fury like me if I find spoilers before I read the book.

I cannot believe how many spoilers or stories about spoilers are out there. How sad! Why can't they let it be? It's awful how people want to ruin it.

There was apparently a catastrophic explosion in midtown Manattan yesterday. I had no idea because I'm under Harry Potter embargo at the moment.

Also, if you haven't seen this site, it's been occupying my hours since the embargo began: http://www.goodreads.com .

Somehow, if you can't read Harry, it's satisfying to talk about other books.
