Um.

You'll be getting a package from me. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe Saturday. You should call me when you get it.

Hehe...and shall this package contain, say, Necklace of Kisses? ;) Great gift, if so. I'm over the mountain for Christmas, so probably won't see it until next week, at any rate.

I hope you and the fam have a great holiday, even if it looks more like Easter out than Christmas.

Re: Necklace of Kisses. I wouldn't wish that abomination on anyone. A B- is super generous! We all know that Francesca ran out of ideas four books ago, but this was the first time I truly wanted to shoot her one-trick pony dead.

The one I got you is actually another one on this list -- a dark horse. I haven't read it yet, so we can make a swap. If you send it back to me, I'll get you something even cooler. We should make that swap in person, if you're interested in a city excursion in the next months.

And happy holidays to you and Moo and the whole fam! Let's chat soon...

I'm afraid I'm out of books, but thanks.

If you know of any sugar daddies looking for sugar babies, however, quitting my job would probably increase my reading considerably ;)

Thanks to reading this before my long car trip, I took How I Live Now out of my car-reading pile and put it in my luggage for later. I've had it for ages but somehow it's never the right time to read it. You made me want to read an Anne book again, but I think I've read them too often. I agree that Rilla of Ingleside is worth it, although the whole thing with Walter is so freaking sad that I can't stand it. Did you catch L.M.'s blatant spoiler one or two books earlier? It's not some nice bit of foreshadowing, she tells you exactly what will happen to Walter, but I must have a selective memory and didn't notice until reading through them all again, in order.

Anne of the Island is still my favourite, though. :D

I hate Gossip Girl and its sequels, hatehatehate. It's an abomination of publishing and I can't believe that young girls might actually read that shite.

Awesome! ::adds the Boy Detective book to her Amazon wishlist::

Found another manga you might like too-- it's fantastic historical fiction, with Cesare Borgia as the lead.

Catherine, Called Birdy--I associated this book with you for years, as a book you probably loved growing up. I guess I was surprised to see that you are just now enjoying it--glad that you did.

I was obsessively about L.M. Montgomery for awhile in middle school. I do agree that the later books are like the end of the Godfather series . . . not only can't measure up, but don't really badly. I also loved, Emily of New Moon. I should reread the Anne books! (c; Have you seen the movies? I'm afraid finding an Anne to fit your imagination is very difficult to do, indeed! Did you know that the Japanese are so taken with Anne that Prince Edward Island is among the most popular destinations for international travel?
