Ramble, ramble, ramble

So I now officially have Microsoft Word for Mac, and nothing's standing between me and writing more of Lived.

:: twiddles thumbs ::

Oh yeah. Except that.

I'm watching Cabin Fever right now, even though I know I'm going to regret it. I'm like one of those people who accidentally pops something eye-meltingly hot into their mouth and after ( Read more... )

Cabin Fever is Faith whoring her boobs talents for a check, right?

I always thought a good 'cell phone no worky' scene was essential to the suspense. Especially if the signal's almost strong enough to use, so like a bunch of idiots they keep checking just in case.

Hey, my husband's outside the bedroom window right now with a shotgun and you know it!

Hehe...nope. Faith's boobs/talents are on display in Wrong Turn, a stupidly bad movie which involves inbred hicks and a cabin in the woods. (Rather than a flesh eating virus, hicks, and a cabin in the woods, like Cabin Fever. Very important distinctions, you understand.)

The cell phone thing was actually well done in What Lies Beneath--the tensest moment in the entire movie was that second when whatsherface was crossing the bridge, trying to figure out if her cell phone would kick in before her evil husband did her in.

Note to self: Don't skulk around BT's house, as life and limb might be at stake. (At gun?)

We got good at it ;)

Speaking of which, where'd the Opus go? I finally have time to read it, but it appears to be offline?

A stranger in a strange land... verisimilitudo January 22 2005, 19:40:00 UTC
I remember back to 1998 or so, when I stumbled across this hanfic site that actually kept me reading without guffawing at the horribleness of it every third second. After reading one story, I made it a regular visit -- First go see hansonline.com, then to llamaesque's page. It was a total muscle reflex to type your webpage in for the longest time. Today, for probably the first time in about six months, I got another urge to just see what, if anything, has appeared on your page. I, of course, have long since abandoned my hanfic page and only quietly write my little stories when I'm sure no one is watching, all the time whispering to myself, I'm 21 and I still do this? Am I really ever going to grow up? Mostly, I try to write real stories that could really get published, and am becoming legitimized by getting a degree in English. And now, here I am, pleasantly surprised by the fact that you are still rambling on like myself, just in a different location under a new moniker ( ... )

Closeted? Speak for yourself, missy! I'm just lazy, not closeted. There's a difference.

I friended you back, and look forward to reading your entries. It's fascinating to see what we (former) Hanson fans are making of ourselves as we grow up--you're going to be a bestseller someday, I'm sure :)
