Orochimaru always had a morbid fascination with death. With those already dead, or on the verge of it. Being someone who wanted to live forever, he used death as a reminder of what he always wanted to avoid

Well of course he'd be curious when someone showed up. It was just some man. No police uniform, and he didn't look like a social worker, but he was still trespassing, so Sasuke didn't like him. He'd been following the man for a good minute before Orochimaru had stopped and Sasuke shadowed him, opening his mouth to tell him to leave before the guy turned quickly to face him.

The boy's eyes widened at the sight of the gun, rooting him to his spot. He knew very well what one of those could do to him. Yet even as it was lowered, he stood his ground, small brows furrowing bit by bit until the small, pale face was set in the nastiest scowl an eight year old could muster. What was he doing here? This old man had some nerve. He opened his mouth again, this time managing to get a few words in. "You'd better leave now. O-or I'll tell my big brother that you were here and he'll beat you up." So maybe his father would have been a better deterrent, but Sasuke couldn't even think too hard of his parents without the image of their corpses lying in

"Your brother?" Orochimaru questioned, giving the kid an incredulous look. This wasn't worth it. He didn't need two kids annoying him. With a scoff, he slipped the gun back into it's case, knowing he wouldn't need it now. Honestly what was the worst two kids could possibly do? Throw mud and call him a "poopie head?" He couldn't help the quiet, slightly raspy chuckle that crept out when he saw just how intense the boy was scowling at him. Truthfully, it was kind of adorable.

"I don't care about your brother, kid. I'm here on business, so I won't be leaving until that business is complete. Now be a good boy and go sit quietly until I'm done."

He didn't ask about parents. Since the kid had immediately said brother, Orochimaru assumed he had guessed correctly and this kid had none. So he would spare the boy and not bring that topic up.

The chuckle only made that glare intensify, and the effet was just that much worse. Uchiha or no, an eight year old would never really be that intimidating to a full-grown man. Huffing when he was brushed off, Sasuke picked up the nearest thing he could find - a stone just a little bigger than a large marble - and threw it as hard as he could at Orochimaru.

His look only darkened when the rock thudded against the man's bag dully before falling to the ground.

Itachi never did get around to teaching him how to throw. Or aim.

So he had to take another day away from his work. Another day to come out to the middle of nowhere. And why? All because some punk kid had to go and distract him, taunt him and drive him to go running through the damn bushes. This is why Orochimaru would never have kids. Assuming of course, he had interest in finding a woman to settle down with. And assuming he wanted to actually procreate after finding a woman amazing enough to hold his attention that long.

Long story short, nothing could ever happen to change Orochimaru's clear dislike for anything younger than he was.

Again, he walked down a path that was now becoming familiar, coming up to the police tape he had avoided just the day before. Hopefully, that kid from the day before could be as easily avoided. If he saw the little dark-haired annoyance again, he already decided what he'd do. He had the rope and tape all packed today and everything.
